FAQs
Where is the park located?
We are currently not open yet, but the park will be located at 642 N. 40th Street in Springdale, Arkansas.
What safety measures are in place?
Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP vaccinations are required by all canine park Visitors, Boarders, Daycare, and Pawty participants.
Dog owners are required to remain near their dog for the duration of their park visit.
Dog owners are also required to have a leash in hand in case of emergency.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Barktenders will be stationed in different areas of the park and will be on constant behavioral watch.
There are safety protocols in place based on type and severity of emergency.
Aggressive behavior from dogs will not be tolerated. Owner will be given one warning, but if there is a second incident, they will be asked to leave the park.
Is there a separate area for small dogs?
Yes, we will have a specified area for small dogs under ~25 pounds, both indoors and outdoors.
Do I have to clean up after my dog?
Yes. Cleaning up after your dog is part of being a responsible dog owner, and shows consideration for others. We will have a cleaning system in place for #1, but we’d appreciate your help in picking up the #2. Waste receptacles and pooper scoopers will be available in different areas of the park. We strive to have as little waste as possible so baggies will not be provided.
Is it weird to come to Lucky’s without a dog?
No way! We understand the human/animal bond and sometimes your current situation may not permit you to own a dog. We will host adoption events and specific breed meet ups if you’d like to come and visit. You will still be required to sign the waiver at check-in.
Also, we’d like owners to remember that just because YOU enjoy coming to the dog park, doesn’t necessarily mean your DOG enjoys it. Many dogs have social anxiety or other special needs that make them feel uncomfortable. Please be mindful of this and your dog’s safety.
Can kids come to Lucky’s?
Of course! Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Just please remember that this is a park for dogs, not kids. Children are not allowed to play on any of the equipment or tease/taunt dogs. Our Barktenders will help to enforce these rules and may also help teach them how to respect a dog’s space.
Can I leave my dog while I go to the bar or restroom?
Yes! Our Barktenders will help supervise your dog while you grab a drink or empty your tank.
What happens in the event of a dog conflict?
While we do have safety measures in place, we know it is inevitable that conflicts may arise. Our #1 action would be to separate the dogs as safely as possible. Then we’ll perform an immediate injury check on all dogs and humans involved, and provide any necessary first aid. After everyone has calmed down, we will log an incident report (who/what/when/where/why). Management will review and discuss following steps with all involved parties.
How old does my dog have to be to visit Lucky’s?
Puppies must be a minimum of 16 weeks (~4 months) old to visit the park and must be current on all vaccinations, including Rabies. Pups under 25 lbs or under 6 months of age will only be permitted in the small dog park.
Can I bring food or treats into the park?
NO! We do not allow food or treats in the park. Many dogs are food aggressive and we do not want to create any unnecessary situations that can be avoided. We may have food trucks outside, but please eat your food in the designated food truck area.
Why does my dog have to be spayed or neutered to enter?
Other than the obvious, let’s talk about the benefits of spaying and neutering.
Spaying and neutering decreases aggressive behavior in dogs.
Spaying ends the heat cycle and reduces pheromone emission in females.
Studies show that spayed/neutered dogs live longer on average.
Spaying eliminates the risk of ovarian and uterine cancer and pyometra (life-threatening infection of the uterus) in dogs.
Neutering eliminates the risk of testicular cancer and lowers the risk of prostate problems in male dogs.
Spaying and neutering helps to reduce the overpopulation of stray or unwanted dogs.
What if my dog has fleas or ticks?
If your dog has visible fleas or ticks, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the park and/or refuse boarding and daycare services to prevent an infestation and spread to others.
If your dog is boarding with us and we discover fleas or ticks after check in, you will be notified and we will treat your dog with a one-time Capstar pill, which will be charged back to you.
